Indigenous, Heirloom seed. Handpounded by women farmers in traditional chakki stone grinder, while singing ancestral folklore. Indigenous Green Lentil Moong whole is manually sundried, cleaned, sorted and packed by women farmers. Handpounded in prana of women farmers singing folklore songs, offering praises to the divine & mother nature.

Daily Dal, Khichdi, Cheela, Pancakes, Pakodi, Vada, Sprouts, Dal bati. Boiled moong in Chaat, Stuffing in Pani Puri, Salad etc. Desserts eg. Halwa, Barfi.

Wash the moong beans & soak overnight in minimum water. Eat sprouted moong beans on empty stomach or during breakfast. Best for Sprouts, Moong tadka dal, Khichdi, Cheela, Samosa, Ayurvedic Khichdi, Payasam, Pakori.

Green Moong Sprouts
1. Wash green moong and soak in just enough water to cover the lentils. 2. After about 2-3 hrs when fully soaked, remove excess water, cover and leave. It will sprout by next day. Preferably use earthenware containers which helps to absorb excess moisture.

How to Prepare - Best eaten raw or lightly steam/stir fry in minimum oil or ghee.
Raw Sprouts Salad - To 1 cup moong sprouts, mix ½ cup blend of chopped onions, tomatoes, grated carrot, capsicum, grated ginger, boiled or roasted peanuts, chopped herbs like green coriander and mint, a sprinkling of mixed roasted seeds, a dash of lemon, salt and pepper to taste and enjoy complete good health in one serving.

Moong beans are a good source of proteins, carbohydrates, minerals and vitamins, essential for growth, maintenance, reproduction.Treats anaemia, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis & scurvy. Rich in fibre, amino acids, polyphenols & antioxidants. Excellent Detox agent. Regulates Digestion. Good for skin health. Increase in Vitamin C, ascorbic acid, phenolic, flavonoids, enzymatic & antioxidant activities determined in germinated moong bean.

Once packet is opened, store in glass jar or air tight plastic jar.  Consume quickly or Refrigerate. Residue-free produce catches weevils easily. Composting produce is the best option if spoiled.
