Used in kadis, pancakes, hummus, a coating to bhajiyas and pakodas, batata wada, burgers, chillas, barfis, and desserts. Widely used externally for skin tightening packs, washing hair, and as safe cleanser for infants.
Besan Chilla -
Take 1 cup besan in a mixing bowl. Add chopped onions,
tomatoes, coriander leaves, ½ tsp ginger, ½ tsp crushed green chilies. Add spices – 2-3 pinches turmeric powder, ½ tsp carom seeds/ajwain and salt to taste. Whisk everything together in ½ cup water. Heat a tawa. Then take a ladle full of batter and pour on pan. Spread lightly and gently. Cook on low flame. Flip when firm. Fold
and serve chilla hot or warm.Heart healthy. Maintains cholesterol levels. Low glycemic index, helps
