1. Roast Mix in Iron Pan.
2. Temper the Spices.
3. Add boiled water and vegetables.
4. Stir, let cool and Serve.
Roast one cup upma mix in a cast iron pan till toasty. Separately temper mustard seeds, soaked black gram, curry leaves, chopped onions and green chillies in oil or ghee. Add to roasted upma. Heat 2 or more cups of water. Add to the mix. Can add half a cup boiled vegetables and peanuts and stir till done. Turn off heat, cover and leave for a few minutes, Serve.
An excellent source of nutrients. Rich in fiber, protein, vitamin B. Low glycemic index. Rich in Flavonoids, calcium and minerals.
Once packet is opened, store in glass jar or air tight plastic jar. Consume quickly or Refrigerate. Residue-free produce catches weevils easily. Composting produce is the best option if spoiled.
