Ruchi Jain , is CEO / Co-Founder of Taru Naturals, an organic fair-trade foods brand, which focuses on sourcing and creating a market for organically grown super foods (such as Black rice, turmeric) from 10,000 identified tribal and small scale farmer networks across India. The organisation buys the produce from small farmers, packages it and markets them under the Taru brand. While working with the farmers , TARU operates under a three pronged model; climate resilient agriculture, organic farming training's, sets up supply chains with market intelligence, clean tech value addition processing units and ensures fair-trade market ready products for end consumers which are sourced directly from small scale farmers. Taru Naturals is incubated with Powered Accelerator, Unlimited India Fellowship, SPJMIR, Sri Sri Institute of Agriculture, Art of Living, Women Transforming India- Niti Aayog, IWSEN Program- Amani Institute, etc. Taru Naturals & as Founder, has been recipient of several awards for Taru Naturals including, 15 Women Transforming India by Niti Aayog, 2020, GQ 50 Most Influential Young Indians, Conde Naste Homegrown Brand of the Year, SheUnltd Food Enterprise 2019, Women Economic Forum Award. etc. TARU Naturals also presented at Caux Land Dialog Forum & Ruchi Jain was selected as part of Caux Emerging leaders Forum.
Along with being an entrepreneur, Ruchi is an ardent environmentalist who studied MSc Environment Change & Management from Oxford University. In the past she worked in a World Bank project, 'Access to Energy' with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy , has been Consultant with the European Acadamies Sciences Council and has traveled extensively as a grassroots worker and started her work in her early days schooling in J-Krishnamurti schools. She is an ardent yoga, meditation practitioner and an Art of Living Natural Farming National trainer.
Punam is a practicing naturopath, writer, social worker, environment activist, and develops her own herbal formulas. She is currently working on compiling and applying her knowledge and experiences into books, and various social health projects. Karthik has been working with TARU since its beginning. He holds a Masters Degree in Management from the University of Sydney, Australia. Next to being one of the founders of the social countdown app T-Minus, Karthik has worked as Head of Operations at Ridingo (Acquired by Carz on Rent), as well as Early Employee for Uber, Australia. At TARU, Karthik is responsible for tech & operations.
Manjeeri is a commerce graduate & holds experience of 8 years in accounts at Modi Hyundai. She is an extremely cheerful & joyful person; highly efficient at her work. She is passionate about food & cooking. At TARU she handles entire accounts department.
